Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens position with PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, Washington. This is an inpatient role with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts and no call. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: inpatient, acute care hospital
- Unit: 6-bed pediatric unit, 10-bed level II special care nursery, plus newborn nursery
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (day 0700-1900, night 1900-0700), rotating in 3-4 shift increments; no call
- Responsibilities: rounding, admissions, and newborn resuscitation
- Patient demographics: pediatric patients 18 and younger; approximately 12-18 patients per day
- Solo pediatrician on night shifts; additional support for newborn rounds on days
- EMR: Epic
- Duration: 3 months; will explore IMLC
Job Responsibilities
Cover a 6-bed pediatric unit, 10-bed level II special care nursery, and newborn nursery.
Work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts (solo on nights).
Manage approximately 12-18 patients per day using Epic EMR.
Qualifications
PALS and NRP required.
Active Washington license required; will explore IMLC.
Epic charting experience required.
COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions).
