Pediatric Hospitalist - Full-Time Opportunity
Join a dedicated team providing essential care as a Pediatric Hospitalist at a facility featuring a Level 2 NICU. We are seeking a highly motivated physician to ensure 24-hour coverage for the nursery in a supportive and focused clinical environment.Responsibilities and Clinical Setting
- Provide 24-hour coverage for the Nursery, completing 144 shifts per year.
- Manage cases in a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Care for infants 32 weeks and above who are stable and do not require surgery or mechanical ventilation; higher-acuity cases are stabilized and transferred out.
- Support a department handling approximately 450–500 deliveries annually (1–2 per day), with a 30% transfer rate.
- Work within a unit featuring 10 LDRP rooms and 3 centrally located NICU beds.
- Collaborate with dedicated support staff, including 2 Registered Nurses (RNs) on each shift and an assigned Respiratory Therapist in the hospital.
Qualifications
- Full-time Physician
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Current NPR certification
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive package for this position:
- Base Salary: $244,800
- Sign-on Bonus: $25,000
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $15,000
- CME Allowance: $4,000
- Excess Shift Pay: $1,700 per additional
