Seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for weekend call coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role focuses on newborn nursery care, inpatient pediatrics, and ER consult support with low patient volume and a manageable call schedule.
• Line placement
• Infant stabilization for transfer
o June 5 Noon - June 8 7am
o June 19 Noon - June 22 7am
• Call taken from home with 30-minute response time
• 1 weekend per month (ongoing coverage)
• Non-trauma hospital setting
• EMR: Cerner
• ~5 newborns per weekend
• 2–3 ER consult calls per day
• Active Arkansas license required (not open to licensing)
• DEA required
Key Responsibilities:
Newborn & Nursery Care:
Provide care and stabilization for newborns, including routine assessments and management.Inpatient Pediatrics:
Manage pediatric inpatients and coordinate care plans during weekend coverage.ER Consults:
Handle pediatric ER consults, primarily via phone, with in-person evaluation as needed.Procedures:
• Intubation• Line placement
• Infant stabilization for transfer
Weekend Rounding:
Perform daily rounds for inpatient pediatrics and nursery patients on Saturday and Sunday.Schedule & Work Environment:
• Weekend call coverage: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AMo June 5 Noon - June 8 7am
o June 19 Noon - June 22 7am
• Call taken from home with 30-minute response time
• 1 weekend per month (ongoing coverage)

Patient Volume:
• 1–2 inpatient pediatric cases per weekend• ~5 newborns per weekend
• 2–3 ER consult calls per day
Support Staff:
• Nursing and hospital support staff availableQualifications:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (preferred)• Active Arkansas license required (not open to licensing)
• DEA required
Credentialing:
