Contract Length: Ongoing
Coverage type: Call only. 24-hour call. Respond time Required: 20-30 min
Schedule: 6am-6am 24hr call only (not required to be in house)
Urgent Dates: 5/7–5/11 - 5/21–5/25 - 6/4–6/15 - 6/19–6/21
Work Details:
• Office ancillary staff: RNs
• Patient population/age: 100% Pediatric
• Admissions required: No
• Peds Floor: 0-1
• Nursery Floor: 4-6
• Department description: Locum Physicians are not required to supervise other healthcare providers. Other physicians will not be present during our Locum tenens coverage. No specialty backup available. We don't do central line placement outside the newborn period (UVC and UAC are technically central lines but only for neonates) chest tubes, intubations for pediatric patients would most likely occur in the ED. ED docs and anesthesia would typically have significantly more experience here.
• Procedure Required: Inpatient, Nursery Level I, Nursery level II/NICU, Attend c-sections/high-risk, Deliveries, Intubation (ENT/INT), Newborn, Pediatrics, Central line placements, UVC placements (delivery room), Needle pneumothorax Decompensation, EKG Interpretation
• Procedures preferred: Ventilation Management(pediatric), Acute, Chronic, Arterial line placement, UAC Placement, Lumbar Puncture, Chest Tube Placement.
Practice Setting:
• Inpatient – Stroke certified Hospital
Requirements:
• Board Certification: Board Certified ABMS/AOA or truly BE within 3-5 years of residency
• License required: Must have an Active CA license
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Other requirement: NRP required.
• Minimum experience required:
Credentialing Timeframe: Temporary privileges available
