Position Summary
A well-established, 600+ bed, non-profit community teaching hospital in Southern Arizona is seeking a full-time Board Certified / Board Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join its growing pediatric subspecialty team.
This position offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consultation services within a collaborative, multidisciplinary pediatric environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform inpatient consults
• Manage the full spectrum of pediatric gastrointestinal disorders
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists
• Participate in resident and medical student education
• Engage in quality and clinical excellence initiativ
Qualifications
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology
• Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Gastroenterology
• Strong procedural skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of pediatric GI diseases
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to high-quality patient care
Working Hours
Skills
• Proficiency in upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy
• Ability to perform and interpret GI procedures independently
• Experience providing inpatient consultations and outpatient care
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Effective communication with pediatric patients and families
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary pediatric team
• Eligibility for state medical licensure
