Job description
Flagstaff Medical Center is seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care physician for ongoing locum coverage in its Pediatric ICU.
Coverage is structured in 24-hour periods with morning rounds, with a minimum commitment of one week per month.
The physician will care for pediatric patients from birth through age 18 in the PICU and pediatric inpatient setting. Typical daily volume is approximately 7 to 15 patients.
NP support is available onsite during the day and evening.
Compensation is $3,500 per 24-hour coverage period.
An active Arizona license is required for practice, but licensing assistance is available. IMLC physicians are preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Complete morning rounds and remain responsible for the 24-hour coverage period.
Manage pediatric patients from birth through age 18.
Work collaboratively with onsite NPs and hospital support staff.
Provide appropriate critical care management for PICU patients.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of Pediatric ICU experience required.
Arizona medical license required for practice. Licensing assistance is available.
IMLC eligibility preferred.
Active DEA required.
BLS and PALS required.
Working Hours
Minimum commitment of one week per month.
Ongoing assignment.
Compensation: $3,500 per 24-hour period.
