Job description
We are seeking an Anatomic/Clinical Pathologist (MD/DO) for a permanent position at a 400-bed hospital in Denison, Texas. This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity in a busy hospital-based pathology practice. Please see below for more information.
- 400-bed hospital; 3 FTE pathologists
- Volume of 45-55 cases per day split between 3 pathologists
- Case mix includes breast, colon, derm, GYN, lung, stomach, prostate, thyroid, frozen sections, and FNAs
- Cerner Fusion EMR
- Phone access to sub-specialty pathologists for consultation
- Expedited privileges available in 30-45 days
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret 45-55 cases per day (split between 3 pathologists)
- Cover a case mix including breast, colon, derm, GYN, lung, stomach, prostate, thyroid, frozen sections, and FNAs
- Provide weekday and weekend call coverage
- Consult with sub-specialty pathologists as needed
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Active Texas state license
- Experience as an AP/CP surgical pathologist in a busy hospital setting
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience
