Overview
Dual role as Staff Pathologist and Medical Director
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the entire Pathology Department
Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
Oversee all clinical and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
Lead, mentor, and evaluate pathology staff, fostering professional growth and a culture of collaboration
Collaborate effectively with hospital administration, medical staff, and other departments to optimize patient care pathways
Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and technology adoption within the department
Serve as the primary liaison for pathology services within the hospital and the broader Northwell Health system
