Seeking a board-certified Pathologist to help cover on a locums assignment from April/May for 3 - 6 months. All flights, rental car and lodging is covered as well as malpractice insurance. The estimated credentialing time is 40 - 45 days.
Job Responsibilities
Frozen Section Analysis
Cytology
The current surgical pathology volume is approximately 13,000 surgical specimens and 3,000 cytology specimens per year.
Laboratory Certifications Held - CLIA, NYS
Responsible for grossing own specimens - Yes
Responsible for cutting own frozen sections on the Cryostat - Yes
Physicians in Group - 4
Histotechnologists - 5
Pathology Assistants - 1
Cytotechnologists - 2
Supervision of others - No
Equipment - Thin prep integrated imager, by Hologic
Type of Cryostat - Cryostat-Avantik QS12UV, Avantik QSII
Type of Microscope - Nikon Eclipse E400, Olympus BX41
Cytology Proficiency Exam Required by GYN Cytology - Yes
Method of Preparation - Thinprep
Trauma Level - LEvel 3
