Job description
The Bronx, NY Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking an AP/CP trained general pathologist to join our collegial group. Strong general surgical and cytopathology skills, excellent communication skills, organizational and computer fluency, and a collaborative approach are paramount. Additional sub-specialization and prior signout experience is valued but not required. Flexible starting date but prefer as soon as available. The case load consists of mainly GI, GU, lung, head and neck, dermatology, GYN and non-GYN cytology including on site assessment, autopsy (low volume), and blood bank coverage. Call is distributed equitably and the overall schedule offers excellent work/life balance.
Assistance with payment of med school loans up to $200K is available.
