Facility:
This facility is a Level 1 trauma center that provides comprehensive pathology services including both in-house and coroner autopsies. The facility offers modern technology and equipment with a collaborative professional environment, supporting both clinical and forensic pathology services.
Opportunity:
Physician - Pathology - Anatomic and Clinical - Forensic Pathology
Job Details:
• Perform house autopsies and coroner autopsies in a forensic pathology setting
• Coverage needed for specific dates: 5/17/26-5/23/26, 6/8/26-6/28/26, and one week in October (TBD)
• Hours will vary based on forensic cases that come in from the county
• Patient encounters per shift vary based on coroner cases
• Must be board certified in Pathology with Fellowship training
• Experience preferred in surgical pathology including GI, GU, neuro, dermato, and hematopathology
• Preferred skills in cytology (GYN and non-GYN), performing FNAs
• Experience with both non-forensic and forensic autopsies required
• Additional preferred skills: grossing/cutting frozen sections, hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, and blood bank
• Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical license
• BLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60-90 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and lodging.
