Aya Healthcare is seeking a Pediatric Neuropathologist for a permanent academic leadership opportunity at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, a 313-bed quaternary care academic pediatric hospital.
• Level I trauma center with a top-rated NICU, Cardiac ICU and Pediatric ICU
• Director of Neuropathology in the Division of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine
• Endowed Chair in Molecular Neuropathology leading a research program in the Brain Tumor Institute
• Academic appointment as Associate or full Professor at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences
• Candidates who need a DC license are welcome to apply

Job Responsibilities
• Expand clinical diagnostics for neurological disorders, particularly molecularly based diagnostics
• Lead a research team studying the molecular basis of pediatric brain tumors in the Brain Tumor Institute
• Collaborate with oncology leaders and the Division Chief; teach and mentor trainees
Qualifications
• 2 years of experience
• DC license required (willing to license)
• Prior successful grant funding in molecular biology, neuro-oncology and neuropathology
• Record of academic publication in brain cancer; excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for teaching
