Job description
An established outpatient pain management practice is seeking an experienced Interventional Pain Physician to join its growing clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a fellowship-trained physician who enjoys combining clinical expertise, procedural skill, and compassionate patient care in an established practice environment.
With an existing patient population, established referral relationships, and consistent procedural volume, the incoming physician can focus on patient care without the need to build a practice from the ground up.
Position Highlights

Job Responsibilities
The physician will evaluate and treat patients with chronic pain, spine conditions, and related musculoskeletal disorders.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and review medical history, imaging, and diagnostic findings
Develop individualized treatment plans
Perform appropriate interventional pain procedures within the physician's training, experience, and privileges
Provide medication management, rehabilitation recommendations, and referrals when appropriate
Monitor patient response and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated
Educate patients regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Manage an active patient schedule while maintaining quality standards of care
Procedural Experience
Depending on the specific practice location, available resources, privileges, and physician experience, the procedural scope may include:
Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections
Facet joint injections
Medial branch blocks
Radiofrequency ablation
Sacroiliac joint injections
Large and small joint injections
Spinal cord stimulation procedures
Other minimally invasive interventional pain procedures
The clinical team will review the physician's recent procedural volume, technical proficiency, and experience with advanced interventional pain cases during the interview process.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board eligible or board certified in an accepted specialty
Completed fellowship training in a related specialty
Fellowship training in Pain Medicine, PM&R, Neurology, or Anesthesiology is applicable
Demonstrated experience in an interventional pain setting
Ability to manage approximately 25+ patients per day
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Collaborative approach to patient care
Required state medical license and DEA registration before beginning clinical services
Physicians currently pursuing state licensure may be considered. Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) candidates may also be considered, with other licensing situations reviewed individually.

Location Options

Start Date & Credentialing
The preferred start date is January 2027, ideally early January and before February.
Credentialing generally takes approximately 45–60 days, depending on work history and timely completion of required documentation.
