Job description
This is an opportunity for a physician who enjoys combining clinical judgment, procedural expertise, and compassionate patient care within an established clinical environment.
With an existing patient population, referral network, and clinical infrastructure, the incoming physician can focus on patient care and interventional pain management rather than building a practice from the ground up.
Position Highlights
- Full-time | Monday–Friday
- Established outpatient pain management practice
- Approximately 25–30 patients per day
- Mix of new patient evaluations, follow-ups, and interventional procedures
- Established patient population and referral network

Job Responsibilities
The Interventional Pain Physician will evaluate and treat patients with chronic pain, spine conditions, and related musculoskeletal disorders.
Responsibilities include:
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and review medical history, imaging, and diagnostic findings
Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating appropriate interventional procedures, medication management, rehabilitation, and referrals
Perform interventional procedures within the physician’s demonstrated expertise and approved privileges
Monitor treatment response and modify care plans as clinically appropriate
Educate patients regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes
Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and clinical support staff
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Manage an active patient schedule while maintaining appropriate standards of patient care
Qualifications
Depending on the practice location, clinical resources, privileges, and physician experience, procedural responsibilities may include:
Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections
Facet joint injections
Medial branch blocks
Radiofrequency ablation
Sacroiliac joint injections
Large and small joint injections
Spinal cord stimulation procedures
Other minimally invasive interventional pain procedures
The clinical team will review the physician’s recent procedural volume, technical proficiency, and experience with advanced interventional pain cases during the interview process.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board eligible or board certified in a specialty accepted by the selected practice
Completed fellowship training in a related specialty
Fellowship backgrounds may include:
Pain Medicine
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
Neurology
Anesthesiology
Demonstrated experience evaluating and treating patients in an interventional pain setting
Ability to personally manage approximately 25+ patients per day
Required state medical license and DEA registration before beginning clinical services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Sound clinical judgment and collaborative approach
Physicians currently pursuing the required state license may be considered. Candidates utilizing the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) pathway may also be considered, with other licensing situations reviewed individually.

Compensation includes a base salary plus a productivity component under the applicable practice employment agreement.

Credentialing & Start Timeline

Credentialing typically takes approximately 45–60 days, depending on the physician’s work history and timely completion of required documentation.
Candidates should be prepared to provide licensing, training, credentialing, and employment information promptly.
