Key Responsibilities
Perform minimally invasive interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, radiofrequency ablations, and botulinum toxin treatments to alleviate chronic and acute pain conditions.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging techniques like MRI, CT scans, and ultrasound.
Develop individualized pain management plans integrating pharmacologic therapies, physical therapy, behavioral health strategies, and interventional procedures.
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across specialties such as anesthesiology, neurology, orthopedics, radiology, and primary care to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with completion of residency training in anesthesiology, PMR, neurology, or related fields.
Fellowship in interventional pain management with proficiency in procedures like nerve blocks, epidural injections, radiofrequency ablations, and botulinum toxin treatments.
Fellowship trained in pain management.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical imaging modalities including MRI, CT scans, ultrasound for diagnostic evaluation and procedural guidance.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient record management.
Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis processes across multiple specialties including neurology, orthopedics, radiology, cardiology, oncology, and family medicine.
