Job description
An established outpatient pain management practice is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to join its growing team in the Birmingham Area.
The physician will have the opportunity to work with an established patient population, strong referral relationships, and a substantial procedural volume.
This is a clinic-based interventional pain opportunity with no hospital call.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate patients with acute and chronic pain conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Perform epidural steroid injections
- Perform facet injections and medial branch blocks
- Perform radiofrequency ablation
- Perform joint injections
- Participate in spinal cord stimulator trials when appropriate
- Collaborate with NP/PAs
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Help expand procedural offerings

Job Responsibilities
Perform interventional procedures
Provide appropriate medication-based therapies
Develop individualized treatment plans
Monitor treatment effectiveness
Collaborate with advanced practice providers
Maintain compliant medical records
Support continued growth of the pain program
Qualifications
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology, or related specialty
Interventional Pain fellowship strongly preferred
Active Alabama license or ability to obtain
DEA license required or ability to obtain immediately
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Strong procedural background
Comfortable prescribing controlled pain medications
Strong commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
