Job description
A growing outpatient pain management practice is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to join its established team in the Birmingham Area.
The position offers an established patient base, strong referral relationships, substantial procedural volume, and an opportunity for significant productivity-based earning potential.
This is a primarily clinic-based outpatient role with no hospital call requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and treat acute and chronic pain conditions
- Develop individualized interventional and medication-based treatment plans
- Perform epidural steroid injections
- Perform facet injections and medial branch blocks
- Perform radiofrequency ablation
- Perform joint injections
- Participate in SCS trials when qualified/preferred
- Collaborate with NP/PAs
- Maintain compliant EMR documentation
- Help expand procedural services

Job Responsibilities
Develop and manage treatment plans
Perform interventional pain procedures
Provide appropriate medication management
Follow patients longitudinally and assess treatment response
Work collaboratively with NP/PAs
Document care accurately in the EMR
Participate in practice and procedural-service growth
Qualifications
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology, or related specialty
Pain fellowship strongly preferred
Active Alabama medical license or ability to obtain
Active DEA license or ability to obtain immediately
1+ year of relevant experience
Strong interventional procedural skills
Must be comfortable prescribing controlled pain medications
Patient-centered approach to pain management
