A growing specialty medical practice is seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Pain Physician to join its team in Little Rock, Arkansas.
This opportunity is ideal for a physician with advanced procedural expertise who is passionate about helping patients overcome chronic and acute pain conditions through evidence-based, minimally invasive treatments.
The physician will provide comprehensive pain evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, perform advanced interventional procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient function and quality of life.
The practice emphasizes patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and innovative approaches to pain management.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
Perform comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations.
Assess pain conditions, functional limitations, and underlying pathology.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients regarding diagnoses, procedures, treatment options, and expectations.
Provide compassionate, evidence-based pain management.
Interventional Pain Procedures
Perform minimally invasive procedures including:
Nerve blocks
Epidural steroid injections
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
Spinal injections
Image-guided pain procedures
Other appropriate interventional treatments
Additional responsibilities include:
Evaluate patients for procedural candidacy.
Maintain high procedural safety and quality standards.
Follow evidence-based clinical protocols.
Ensure excellent procedural outcomes.
Diagnosis & Care Coordination
Diagnose and manage:
Spine-related conditions
Neck and back pain
Radicular pain syndromes
Musculoskeletal pain conditions
Chronic pain disorders
Order and interpret diagnostic testing and imaging studies.
Coordinate care with referring physicians, specialists, and healthcare providers.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment discussions.
Documentation & Quality Improvement
Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Document procedures, assessments, and treatment plans.
Monitor patient outcomes and treatment effectiveness.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Participate in continuing medical education.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Strong clinical expertise in Interventional Pain Management.
Ability to perform advanced pain procedures.
Strong knowledge of spine pathology and treatment options.
Experience managing:
Neck pain
Back pain
Radicular pain
Chronic pain conditions
Strong diagnostic and procedural skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in:
Pain Medicine
Anesthesiology
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
Neurology
Related specialty
Completion of an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship preferred.
Prior outpatient interventional pain practice experience.
Strong understanding of functional restoration and chronic pain management.
