Job description
Client is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to join its growing outpatient practice in Tomball, Texas. The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in Pain Medicine and experienced in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with acute and chronic pain through advanced interventional procedures. The physician will work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment dedicated to improving quality of life while minimizing opioid dependence.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and diagnose patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based pain management strategies.
Perform interventional pain procedures including, but not limited to:
Epidural steroid injections
Facet joint injections
Medial branch blocks
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
Sacroiliac (SI) joint injections
Peripheral nerve blocks
Spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trials and implants
Other fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures
Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare providers.
Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, expected outcomes, and preventive care.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine.
Active or eligible for Texas medical license.
DEA license with authority to prescribe controlled substances.
Strong procedural skills in fluoroscopy-guided pain interventions.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an outpatient interventional pain practice.
Background in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Neurology, or related specialty.
Experience with EMR systems.
Ability to build strong referral relationships and contribute to practice growth.
Practice Setting:
Outpatient Pain Management Clinic
Monday–Friday schedule
No hospital call (if applicable)
Collaborative clinical support staff
Modern procedural suite with fluoroscopic capabilities
