Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pain Management physician for a locum tenens position in New Jersey (Hazlet and surrounding regions) with Airport Plaza Spine and Wellness. This is a high-volume outpatient interventional pain practice covering both clinic and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) settings. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: outpatient interventional pain, clinic and ASC
- Coverage: approximately 2-4 shifts per month, open to increasing with the right provider
- Regions: South NJ and Central NJ (office and ASC days); coverage may be fulfilled by one provider across locations or separate providers per region
- Patient population: adult spine/pain
- High procedural volume in spine and minimally invasive procedures
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 30 days
Job Responsibilities
Procedures include epidural steroid injections (ESIs), medial branch blocks (MBB)/facet injections, radiofrequency ablations (RFA), nerve blocks, minimally invasive disc procedures (e.g., percutaneous discectomy), and TenJet/tenotomy procedures.
Manage an adult spine/pain patient population.
Work independently and efficiently across ASC and clinic settings.
Qualifications
High-volume interventional spine experience; proficient in MBB, RFA, and epidural procedures.
Experience with minimally invasive pain procedures (discectomy, tenotomy).
Comfortable working independently in ASC and clinic settings.
Active New Jersey license preferred; will consider providers who need to obtain licensure.
DEA required.
