Fellowship Trained in Interventional Pain Medicine

ACGME-accredited fellowship required

Acceptable Primary Training:

Anesthesiology
-
PM&R
-
-
May work alongside:

Other physicians and/or APPs
-
RNs, LPNs, and MAs (varies by site)

-
All patients are chronic pain referrals
-
Not solely personal injury cases
-
-
Bread-and-butter interventional pain procedures
-
Common procedures include:
-
Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
-
Radiofrequency Ablations (RFA)
-
Spinal cord stimulator trials
-
-
Open to discussing:
-
Procedures the physician does and does not perform to assess fit
-
-
While primarily interventional:
-
Medication management expected when clinically appropriate
-
-
1099 position
-
Competitive compensation (discussed directly with client)

Two-year guarantee
-
After Year 2:
-
Transition to collections-based model
-
Collect 100% of professional fees minus direct expenses

Medical malpractice insurance provided

Stipend toward health insurance expenses

Stipend toward CME and licensing expenses

Locations are typically within one hour of a metropolitan area
