- They can consider candidates with Anesthesia, PM&R, and Emergency Medicine backgrounds
- They do comprehensive pain medicine.
- Experienced providers spend 5 of 9 blocks doing procedures and 4 in clinic.
- Starting docs spend almost all their time in clinic as they build up their patient base and they slowly grow from there.
- APPs handle the majority of medical management follow ups so docs can see more complex and new patients, but physicians must be comfortable writing and managing medications in addition to procedures.
- They do advanced procedures in their ASC that’s on site.
