Pain Management Opportunity in State College, PA
Position Highlights:
Seeking BC/BE Pain Management Physician
Join an employed group consisting of 11 physicians and 20+ CRNA’s that provide coverage at the Medical Center, a 260-bed acute care facility in State College, PA.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
Provide evidence-informed medical and/or interventional pain management to patients based on appropriate clinical indication and meet high standards of care.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Utilize fluoroscopy or ultrasound to perform most interventions.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals.
Participate in collaborative care with other providers and support the services available for multidisciplinary interventional pain management.
Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities to stay abreast of advancements in pain management techniques and best practices.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocolsn in a timely and professional manner.
Other duties based on need, including teaching, research, educational presentations, expert opinion report preparation, and administrative tasks.
Compensation & Benefits:
W2: Competitive Compensation and Benefits package
PTO:9 weeks
CME:1 week
CME allowance $3,500 annually
Sign-on bonus: $40k over 3 years
Qualification:
Medical Doctor Degree (University-affiliated medical school preferred).
Resident training in university-affiliated hospital preferred.
Current Pennsylvania medical license.
Current DEA registration.
ABA Board-certification and pain fellowship required
Past medical licensure has never been challenged, suspended or revoked.
Hospital privileges have never been revoked at any hospital.
No past convictions for fraud, narcotics, or any felony offense.
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
Requires working under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours.
