Otolaryngology Physician Job Requirements

• Board-certified physician in Otolaryngology
• Active California physician license required; interstate compact licensure is not accepted
• Relevant fellowship training required
• At least 1 year of relevant otolaryngology or ENT experience
• At least 50 documented case logs completed within the past 24 months
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience providing both inpatient and outpatient otolaryngology care
• Availability for the full stretch of open dates; partial-date availability will not be considered
• Ability to participate in inpatient rounding, admissions, and timely call response

ENT Physician Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive otolaryngology evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients in clinic and hospital settings
• Perform scheduled clinic and hospital coverage during designated Friday-through-Sunday hours
• Manage assigned and unassigned patients while on call, including urgent ENT consultations and admissions
• Complete inpatient rounding for assigned and unassigned patients
• Perform general otolaryngology procedures and surgical services as clinically appropriate
• Provide endoscopic evaluation and procedures, including septal, sinus, bronchoscopy, flexible, rigid, and laryngoscopy services
• Participate in tracheotomy, thyroidectomy, parotidectomy, neck surgery, facial reconstruction, and other complex head and neck procedures according to training and privileges
• Document patient care accurately in Athena and Cerner
• Collaborate with nursing and in-office support staff to deliver efficient, high-quality ENT care
