Job description

Job description A hospital in the Redding, CA area needs a Board Certified Otolaryngologist for 24-hour call coverage, 3p to 3p, in call-only windows from October 2026 through the holidays and into 2027. Pay is $2,695 per 24-hour call day, plus $331.10/hr callback whenever you are called in. Holiday call days pay $4,042.50, with holiday callback at $492.80/hr. The first 4 hours of each 24-hour call shift are gratis, meaning unpaid and already included in the call-day pay. Travel is covered. No clinic.

Job Responsibilities

Provide ED call and inpatient consults for an inpatient setting. Call only, with no clinic.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Otolaryngology. Active California license required (California is not an IMLC state, so the license must be in hand). DEA required. Clean malpractice and background file required. Credentialing is expedited, with temporary privileges possible for a clean file.

Working Hours

24-hour call, 3p to 3p. Open windows: October 30 at 3p to November 2 at 7a; November 27 at 3p to December 6 at 3p; December 26 at 3p to January 1 at 3p. Ongoing 2027 dates will fill gaps in coverage throughout the year. Take one window or several.
