Locum Tenens Otolaryngology (ENT) Physician Opportunity – Central Illinois

Worksite: Clinic and hospital-based practice in Central Illinois

Position Overview

A well-established healthcare system in Central Illinois is seeking a Locum Tenens Otolaryngology (ENT) Physician to support a busy and growing practice. This role offers a balanced mix of clinic, surgical, and call responsibilities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Details

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday (clinic and/or OR depending on day)
• Call: 1 full week per month (Monday–Sunday, includes overnight call)
• Onsite orientation required prior to first assignment (weekday, full-day)

Patient Volume:

• Physicians: 10–14 patients per day
• Advanced Practice Providers: up to 15 patients per day

Practice Composition:

• 2 full-time physicians, 1 part-time physician
• Support staff includes:
  • 2 full-time RNs
  • 3 full-time CMAs
  • Surgery scheduler
  • 2 front desk staff

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform standard ENT surgical procedures
• In-office procedures including:
  • Scopes
  • Biopsies
  • Adult ear tube placement
• Provide care across a diverse patient population (pediatric through geriatric)

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified preferred; will consider truly Board Eligible candidates
• Ideal candidate has fellowship training in:
  • Head & Neck Surgical Oncology or
  • Rhinology/Sinus
• Active Illinois medical license required (IMLC not accepted)

Credentialing & Compliance

• Approximately 90 days for full credentialing and payer enrollment
• Required prior to start:
  • Vaccination records
  • Negative drug screening
  • Physical exam within 90 days
  • Professional headshot
  • Completion of online training modules (~2 hours)
