ABOUT:
Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) was established in 1972 and is a nonprofit, 1,138-bed regional tertiary referral center made up of seven hospitals: General Hospital, Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Plateau Medical Center, Teays Valley Hospital, Women and Children’s Hospital, and Charleston Surgical Hospital. In addition to the hospitals, CAMC is comprised of the Institute for Academic Medicine and the CAMC Foundation. More than 1,500 providers are members of the medical staff of CAMC, which is also West Virginia's premiere medical teaching facility, hosting, on any given day, more than 1,000 students in programs leading to degrees or certifications in health professions.
Job Responsibilities
Provide surgical and clinical care for patients with head and neck conditions, including tumors, thyroid disorders, and complex airway issues.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, radiologists, and speech-language pathologists.
Participate in patient consultations, surgical planning, and post-operative care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and excellence in surgical outcomes.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Valid medical license in West Virginia.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Working Hours
Per diem, flexible shifts based on department needs.
May include weekday, weekend, or on-call coverage.
