Job description
- Location: Strong, Maine
- Specialty: General Dentistry
- Setting: FQHC / Outpatient Dental Clinic
- Contract Length: 3 or 6 months
- Start Date: Flexible, dependent on credentialing
- Licensing: Maine license preferred but not required; client will wait for licensure
- Licensing Timeline: Approximately 3–4 weeks
- Credentialing: Approximately 3–4 weeks
- Patient Volume: 10–15 patients per day
- EMR: NextGen
- Support Staff: 1 additional Dentist (DMD), 1 Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), and 2 Dental Assistants (DAs)
Work Schedule
Monday–Thursday | Fridays Off
- Monday: 6:45 AM – 5:30 PM
- Tuesday: 6:45 AM – 5:30 PM
- Wednesday: 6:45 AM – 5:30 PM
- Thursday: 6:45 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: Closed
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive general dentistry services, including:
- Routine oral examinations and preventive dental care
- Fillings, extractions, and restorative procedures
- Periodontal evaluations and treatment
- Dental cleanings and hygiene-related services
- Sealants and dental X-rays
- Patient education and oral health counseling
- Treatment planning and specialty referrals as needed
- Providing accessible dental care through the clinic's Affordable Care Program
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental program
- Active Maine dental license or willingness to obtain one
- Experience providing general and restorative dental care
- Comfortable treating approximately 10–15 patients daily
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Previous FQHC or community health experience preferred
