ATC Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a focused 24-hour call assignment at a Level II trauma center in Lima, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential CT surgery coverage in a well-supported hospital environment, with an experienced team of PAs and a manageable case volume. Opportunity Highlights

- Practice Setting: Hospital-based cardiothoracic surgery
- Coverage Dates: September 11, 2026, 7:00 a.m. – September 16, 2026, 7:00 a.m.
- Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
- Ongoing Need: Potential for approximately 10–14 call days per month
- Patient Population: Adults
- Volume: Approximately 1 case per day
- Trauma Level: Level II
- Operating Rooms: 20
- EMR: Epic
- Support Staff: 3 PAs
- Call Coverage: Primary focus of the assignment is filling call gaps
Surgical Scope
Candidates must be comfortable independently managing the required cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including:
- CABG and arterial revascularization
- Redo coronary revascularization, with or without valve surgery
- Heart valve repair and replacement
- Mitral valve repair
- Pericardial window procedures

Requirements
- Board Certified
- Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship trained
- Active Ohio medical license
- BLS and ACLS
- Ability to perform all required procedures
- Epic experience preferred
- Emergency privileging may be considered; estimated credentialing is approximately 30 days
