With no clinic responsibilities, low daily patient volume, and dedicated hospital support, this is an excellent opportunity for physicians who enjoy operative fracture care and focused trauma call.

Opportunity Highlights

• Location: Kearney, Nebraska
• Practice Setting: Level II Trauma Center – Inpatient/Emergency Department
• Coverage Dates:
  • August 10–16
  • September 21–27
  • October 12–18
  • November 16–22
  • December 7–13
• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Ongoing Availability: Multiple week-long coverage blocks available

Practice Details

• Dedicated 24/7 orthopedic trauma call
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Surgical management of orthopedic trauma cases as needed
• Procedures: General orthopedic surgery and fracture care
• Average patient volume: 1–2 patients per day
• Average callback time: Approximately 2 hours
• Hospitalists manage medical admissions

Resources & Support

• EMR: Epic
• Experienced Emergency Department and Operating Room teams
• Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 30–60 days

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Completion of an Orthopedic Surgery residency
• Nebraska medical license or IMLC eligibility
• DEA required
• ATLS preferred
