Coverage Type: 24-Hour Trauma Call
Coverage Dates(Willing to accept a candidate who can cover 1 of the following blocks):
November 26 (7:00 AM) – December 1 (7:00 AM)
December 24 (7:00 AM) – December 28 (7:00 AM)
December 30 (7:00 AM) – January 4 (7:00 AM)
Additional sporadic ongoing dates available
Schedule:
24-hour call coverage, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Weekend call required
Must be available within 30 minutes while on call
Approximately 2–5 admissions per day
Practice Details:
General orthopedic trauma call coverage at a Level III Trauma Center. The provider will manage orthopedic cases within the scope of a general orthopedic surgeon, with procedural expectations consistent with the facility's trauma designation.

EMR: Epic
No dedicated support staff
Requirements:
Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Active Colorado license or IMLC with LOQ in hand at submission
ACLS and BLS highly preferred
Transferable DEA required for September dates and preferred for the assignment
Clean malpractice and background required
Self-query NPDB report preferred and will receive priority consideration
Must provide the number of ongoing shifts per month available
Must be available for at least one of the listed coverage blocks
Case Mix:
General orthopedic trauma
Fracture care
Surgical cases within the scope of general orthopedic practice
Volume:
Average anticipated callback: 1–4 hours
Approximately 2–5 admissions per day
Credentialing:
Standard credentialing timeframe: approximately 30 days
Emergency temporary privileges may be available
Pre-application and full application must be completed within 72 hours of receipt
Epic training must be completed prior to the first shift
