Job description
We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. This is a call-only assignment providing 24-hour inpatient orthopedic surgery coverage. Please see below for more information.
- Acute care hospital setting
- Cerner EMR
Job Responsibilities
Respond to inpatient orthopedic consultations and emergent cases
Perform operative cases in the facility's operating rooms as indicated during call coverage
Manage post-operative and inpatient orthopedic patients
Document all clinical care in the Cerner EMR
Qualifications
Active Missouri medical license required
Active DEA registration required
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Provider must reside 90+ miles from the facility
Working Hours
24-hour call coverage, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Call is required for this position
Specific call schedule to be determined by facility need
