Locum Orthopedic Surgeon – Oregon – Clinic, Hospital & Call Coverage - (DM)

Duration: Through January 25, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts + Night & Weekend Call
Call: Required

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to provide hospital and clinic coverage, including inpatient care, outpatient clinic services, admissions, rounding, and orthopedic trauma coverage.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care.
• See approximately 12–20 clinic patients per day.
• Round on hospitalized patients.
• Manage inpatient admissions.
• Evaluate and treat orthopedic trauma cases within the provider's privileges.
• Provide orthopedic consultations.
• Participate in night and weekend call coverage.
• Work independently as the sole orthopedic provider during coverage.
• Document patient care using Epic EMR.

Patient Population

• Adults and pediatric patients
• Approximately 2 hospital patients/day
• Approximately 12–20 clinic patients/day

Qualifications

• MD/DO required.
• Active Oregon medical license required at time of presentation.
• BLS certification required.
• Orthopedic Surgery experience required.
• Must provide documentation of at least 100 clinical patients/cases within the previous 24 months representative of the requested privileges.
• Recent Epic experience required — within the last 6 months.
• Must be comfortable working independently.
• Clean professional and malpractice history preferred.

Working Hours

Monday–Friday:
8-hour daytime shifts

• Clinic and hospital coverage
• Night call required
• Weekend call required
• Call coverage includes 4 hours of gratis
• Orientation: September 17, 2026
• Clinical coverage begins September 18, 2026
