Location: 2 hours west of Lincoln, NE
Coverage Dates:
August 10–16 (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
September 21–27 (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
October 12–18 (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
November 16–22 (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
December 7–13 (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule:
24-hour call coverage only
No clinic responsibilities
Inpatient and ED coverage
Practice Details:
Seeking an orthopedic surgeon to provide Level II trauma call coverage at a busy regional hospital. Responsibilities include orthopedic trauma call, fracture management, and surgical cases as needed. Hospitalists handle all medical admissions.
Volume:
Average 1–2 patients per day
Average callback: Approximately 2 hours per 24-hour call shift
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Completion of an Orthopedic Surgery residency required
Active Nebraska license required (IMLC accepted for credentialing, but provider must hold a Nebraska license prior to start)
DEA required
ATLS highly preferred
Case logs required at time of presentation
Availability must be provided at time of name clear
Clean malpractice history preferred

Level II Trauma Center
EMR: Epic
Inpatient and Emergency Department coverage only
Support from dedicated ED and OR staff
Case Mix:
General orthopedic trauma
Fracture care
Surgical cases as indicated
Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: 30–60 days

Coverage needed due to shortage of orthopedic surgeons available for call
