Job description
A Washington hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for an ongoing locums assignment offering predictable, recurring call coverage and strong clinical support. This is an excellent opportunity for surgeons comfortable with orthopedic trauma who are looking for a consistent schedule.
Highlights:
• One week of 24/7 call coverage per month
• Ongoing assignment
• Travel, lodging, and rental car provided
• Strong support team including PA, RNs, MAs, OR, and ED staff
• Low consult volume averaging 0–2 per day
• Meditech Expanse EMR
Practice Details:
• Hospital-based orthopedic surgery coverage
• Monday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM call schedule
• Occasional clinic coverage for acute visits and post-op follow-ups
• Patient population ages 5+
Requirements:
• Board Certified Orthopedic Surgery
• Active Washington license required
• BLS and WA DEA required
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Comfortable managing orthopedic trauma cases including hip fractures, hemiarthroplasties, wrist, ankle, humerus, and other fracture care
• Clean background required
Pay Rate: $2,800/Day
Credentialing timeframe is approximately 60–90 days, and Washington licensing assistance is available for qualified candidates.
