Orthopedic Surgeon Needed in Michigan
Seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic MD/DO at a 94-bed acute care hospital - independent, not-for-profit. Open to New Grads!
DETAILS
- REASON: upcoming retirement (Oct 2026)
- Open to any start date
- TYPE: Hospital employed position
- SETTING: Team consists of: 3 Ortho docs, 3 Ortho APPs, Also, Site Manager, and support staff
- CALL: Currently – 7 to 8 shifts/month (to include 1 weekend/month). Currently we have an independent covering 1 Sat/Sun per month.
- SCHEDULE: M-F, 8-5
- 36 clinical + 4 admin hours / week
- Also open to a four day work week
- EMR: Athena (clinic), Cerner (hospital)
- Clinic closed on 6 holidays
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- COMP MODEL: 2 year Income Guarantee + RVU + other performance bonuses
- Income Guarantee = Comparable MGMA median
- Commencement Bonus/Loan: $60k forgiven over 3 years
- Moving allowance: $14,000
- Student Debt Allowance: Negotiable
- Contract Terms/Length: 2 years, renews every 2 years thereafter
- PTO: 30 days front loaded every JAN
- CME: 5 days + $5,000 allowance
- Health ins: Priority Health
- Dental, vision, life ins, STD, LTD
- Malpractice ins + tail coverage: paid
- Retirement Plan: 403b + one other for physicians
