Orthopedic Hand Surgeon Opportunity – Community Hospital Setting
Location: Hudson, New York
Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery – Hand & Upper Extremity

Position Highlights
* Opportunity to establish and lead a dedicated hand and upper extremity surgery service
* Practice primarily in an outpatient Bone & Joint Center clinic with access to modern operating rooms

Clinical Responsibilities
* Diagnose and treat a full spectrum of hand, wrist, forearm, and upper extremity conditions
* Manage traumatic injuries including fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, amputations, and crush injuries
* Treat degenerative and overuse conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, trigger finger, and Dupuytren’s contracture
* Address repetitive motion injuries common in agricultural, construction, and manual labor populations
* Perform minimally invasive, arthroscopic, and open surgical procedures
* Provide non-operative care including injections, splinting, therapy coordination, and patient education
* Participate in shared call coverage for hand and upper extremity emergencies
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and community outreach programs
Qualifications
* MD or DO degree
* Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency
* Fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery preferred or significant focused experience
* Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (CAQ in Hand Surgery preferred)
* Eligible for New York medical licensure
* Strong commitment to patient-centered care and rural community service
