This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility providing comprehensive orthopedic services across two campuses (Davenport and Silvis, approximately 13 miles apart). As a Level III Trauma center, the facility offers advanced surgical capabilities with full nursing and APP support in the operating room.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic Trauma
Job Details:
• Locum tenens position covering orthopedic traumas and same-day add-ons • Schedule consists of 7-10 shifts per month, with 24-hour shift length • Hospital-based position with no clinic responsibilities • Daily OR access at both Davenport and Silvis campuses • Inpatient responsibilities only, managing trauma cases at a Level III trauma center • Work alongside a team of 8 physicians (combination of total joint, spine, hand, podiatry) and 8 APPs • No supervision of APPs expected • Full nursing and APP support available in OR • Average daily hospital census of 230-250 patients • Access to medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy services • Electronic medical record system: Cerner • Must be Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery • Fellowship training in Orthopedics required • Must possess active Iowa and/or Illinois license or Active IMLC • Clean malpractice history and background required • Weekend coverage as needed
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
