Position Overview
Mercy Health Lourdes is seeking a Locum Orthopedic Surgeon to provide surgical coverage and 24-hour hospital call as backfill. This assignment includes an initial April block with potential for ongoing coverage.

Open Dates: April 3 (7:00 AM) – April 13 (7:00 AM), 2026

Additional Dates: Ongoing needs anticipated

Schedule: 24-hour emergency call (7a–7a) with callback

Call Rate Note: 2–4 hours gratis preferred for 24-hour call coverage
Clinical Requirements

Hip nailing experience is required
-
Orthopedic trauma and surgical cases including:
-
Fractures, dislocations, amputations
-
Deformities and tumors of bones and joints
-
Total joint replacement, revision, or repair (hip, knee, shoulder)

Spine surgery (with and without instrumentation – cervical, thoracic, lumbar)

Arthroscopy

Practice Environment

Patient Demographics: Adult, pediatric, and geriatric

Setting: Hospital-based surgical coverage and emergency call
