Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Orthopedic
Job Details:
• Collaborate with attending physicians to prepare and record patient histories, develop care plans, and participate in daily rounds • Utilize electronic medical record systems for order entry and documentation • Participate in multidisciplinary rounding and quality/safety initiatives • Order and perform diagnostic studies including EMG, electrocardiogram, compartment pressure measurements, and various imaging studies • Perform procedures such as digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor outpatient surgical procedures • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including joint aspirations, closed reduction of fractures, injections, and cast/splint applications • Assist in surgery including first assist, tissue closures, and application of appliances • Serve as primary orthopedic call for Emergency Department and inpatient units • Participate in call coverage including weekday, weekend and 24-hour call rotation • Evaluate clinical conditions and implement treatment plans for hospitalized patients • Must have proficiency with electronic health records • Must be board certified with an active Oregon license • Required to complete 4 hours of unpaid EPIC training (2-hour testing out option available) • Full-time position with overtime after 40 hours (work week is Sunday-Saturday) • Lodging will be provided/coordinated by the facility
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
