Located in the heart of Viroqua, WI, Vernon Health is a Critical Access Hospital with a network of Rural Health Clinics and specialty services that support our vibrant community.

Position Overview: As an Orthopedic Surgeon at Vernon Health, you will provide expert care in diagnosing and treating orthopedic conditions related to the upper and lower extremities, including trauma, degenerative disorders, nerve compression, and congenital abnormalities. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in our modern medical office building clinic setting and surgical suites, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and expanding our orthopedic specialty program with a primary focus on meeting the healthcare needs of the communities we serve.

Job Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions of the upper and lower extremities.

Perform surgical cases for general orthopedic cases in state-of-the-art surgical suites, including robotic equipment.

Collaborate with primary care providers, nursing services, and rehabilitation services.

Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with Vernon Health standards.

Qualifications

MD/DO degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited Orthopedic residency program.

Valid Wisconsin medical license (or ability to obtain).

Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
