Position Overview:
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to serve as the sole orthopedic provider in Millinocket, ME his role involves full-spectrum orthopedic care, from pre-operative planning to post-operative rehabilitation, in a collaborative rural hospital setting.
Practice Highlights:
Perform a variety of procedures including joint replacements (hip, knee, shoulder if trained), fracture repairs, and arthroscopy
Provide comprehensive patient care from consultation through rehabilitation
Collaborate with nurses, primary care providers, physical therapists, and pain specialists
Lead quality improvement and program development efforts
Be the solo orthopedic surgeon, offering consistent, patient-centered surgical services
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABOS)
Current Maine medical license
Minimum 2 3 years of clinical orthopedic experience
Proven surgical proficiency across orthopedic procedures
Excellent communication skills and rural care commitment
