Orthopedic Trauma Opportunity - Tyler, TX Dallas 90m Position Details

  • Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Trauma Orthopedic Surgeon to join the practice.
  • Tyler, TX
  • Faculty position with the regional academic medical school
  • Access to a Level I trauma center in a large regional referral system
  • New clinic in a 2026 medical education building with 8 ORs, robotics and advanced arthroscopy
  • Join 12 physicians and 12 APPs
  • 15 to 25 patients per day; 90% outpatient, 10% inpatient
  • Monday to Thursday 8 to 5, Friday 8 to 12
  • 4 hours a week protected admin time
  • Call 2 in 8
Medical Group Details Medical Group is comprised of 10 hospitals, more than 90 physician clinics, over 300 employed providers, 13 regional rehabilitation facilities, two freestanding emergency centers, regional home health services covering 41 counties, an EMS fleet of more than 45 ambulances and four helicopters, and a comprehensive seven-trauma center care network, including a Level 1 trauma center. Primary service area has a population of over 600,000. 974-licensed beds Medical Group is uniquely positioned to provide East Texas patients with access to leading-edge research and clinical therapies while training and educating the next generation of physicians and other health professionals. Graduate Medical Education is an integral component at the Health System and includes accredited residency programs in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, and Psychiatry. The University of Texas has also approved a medical school in Tyler, which will take its first class in 2023.
