Job description
Seeking a board-certified orthopedic trauma surgeon for locum coverage in Tacoma, WA. Schedule includes 24/7 ER call up to 2 weeks per month and 3.5 days of outpatient clinic, with strong PA and hospital support. Ongoing need starts in November for 6–9 months, with flexible monthly dates based on internal staffing. Ideal candidate has 2 years of trauma II experience and holds a WA license or IMLC.
Job Responsibilities
Manage inpatient orthopedic consults and admissions
Perform a full spectrum of orthopedic procedures (excluding complex pelvic cases)
Conduct outpatient clinic visits 3.5 days per week
Collaborate with hospital staff, PAs, and MAs to ensure quality care
Document using EPIC EMR system
Qualifications
Fellowship trained
WA license or IMLC
Level II Trauma experience: 5 years or more
Skills
Clear communicator with hospital staff, PAs, and MAs to ensure quality care
