Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for locum coverage at a Level II Trauma Center in Atlantic City, NJ. This is a high-impact opportunity covering inpatient orthopedic surgery, clinic, and 24-hour call across two nearby locations.
📅 Schedule Details:

In-house: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Day shifts, weekend, and call rotations

Minimum: 10 days of call/month

Ortho Clinic: 1 half-day/week (5–10 patients from indigent population)
🏥 Practice Setting:

Hospital-based, Level II Trauma Center
-
EMR: Cerner
-
7 ORs; 700 ortho cases annually
-
Average 3–5 surgical cases/day
-
Clinic volume: ~6 patients on half-day
-
Call covers 2 locations
-
No pediatric ortho at this time
🔧 Required Procedures & Case Types:

General orthopedic trauma care
-
Total hip replacements and revisions
-
Surgical & non-surgical ortho for adults & geriatrics
-
(No arthroscopy or percutaneous disc surgery)
📋 Submission Requirements:

Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery – REQUIRED
-
Active NJ License – REQUIRED (no exceptions)
-
BLS – REQUIRED for credentialing
