Job description
We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgery / Sports Medicine physician for a locum tenens position in Aurora, IL. This is a combined clinic, OR, and call coverage opportunity at an acute care Level II trauma center with a flexible schedule. Please see below for more information.

- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Perform 8–10 surgeries per week
Manage a case mix including ACL/MCL/PCL procedures, knee and ligament cases, and meniscus repairs
Perform hip arthroscopy and multi-ligament procedures
Carry a Sports Medicine fellowship-trained book of business
Provide weekend call coverage (1 in 7 weekends, Friday 5:00p – Monday 7:00a)
Share weeknight call rotation with 6 orthopedic surgeons
Work alongside a team of 6 orthopedic surgeons and 11 total providers, with APPs serving as first assists
Qualifications
Sports Medicine fellowship training required
Multi-ligament procedures and hip arthroscopy experience required
Active Illinois state license (or IMLC accepted)

Working Hours
OR days currently Monday and Friday (flexible)
Weekend call: 1 in 7 weekends (Friday 5:00p – Monday 7:00a)
Weeknight call shared among 6 surgeons
Start Date: 8/17/2026
Contract Length: 6 months
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
