Job description
A Level II Trauma Center located approximately 45 minutes outside of downtown Chicago is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon for a 6-month locum tenens assignment starting July (ASAP). This opportunity is due to a vacancy within a well-established sports medicine program and offers a balanced mix of clinic and surgical responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
Qualifications
Fellowship training in Sports Medicine required
Experience in hip arthroscopy and multi-ligament procedures required
Active Illinois license or IMLC eligibility
DEA required
Working Hours
Call responsibilities are shared among a team of 6 orthopedic surgeons and include 1:7 weekend call (Friday 5pm–Monday 7am) and occasional weekday call (approximately one night per week, some weeks none). Call includes ER phone consults and inpatient rounding within 24 hours of admission per hospital bylaws.
