Orthopedic Spine Surgeon - Physician


SCHEDULE:
- Part-Time
- Per Diem

*Additional shifts - including up to full-time hours - can be provided for physicians willing to travel and/or oversee interventional pain procedures.

COMPANY PROFILE:
This private practice boasts a team of skilled orthopedic physicians specializing in conditions from whiplash to bone spurs to back and neck pain. They take a conservative, consultative approach offering treatment plans tailored to each individual patient. They are experts in neck and spine, knee, shoulder, arm and elbow, hand and wrist, hip, leg, and ankle and foot.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new spine surgeon will see patients in an established office and surgery center, performing orthopedic spine surgeries.

Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- consult with patients to determine appropriate courses of treatment
- perform necessary surgical procedures in the treatment of injuries or symptoms
- examine patients while ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests
- obtain information on medical conditions to determine diagnosis
- provide consultation and comprehensive management of patients
- monitor patients’ conditions and progress
- reevaluate patients’ conditions and progress as necessary
- support appropriate referrals

The full details of the position are negotiable and will be collaboratively decided between the practice and the physician.

The practice is able to offer 2 to 4 shifts per month in this office. If additional work is desired, that can be provided in the area of interventional pain and/or traveling to out-of-state offices for additional spine work.


REQUIREMENTS:
- California medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified / Eligible, Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship, Spine Surgery
