Job description General Ortho with Spine experience


Specialty: Orthopedics: Neuro/ Spine
Start Date: ASAP
Credentialing: NC License and Malpractice Insurance
Contract Length: Ongoing
Shift Details:
Schedule: 3-4 days/mo to start (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), very flexible

Work Location: (Outpatient Clinic) Raleigh, NC
-All imaging is on a PACS system. (Images are often received weeks later; attorneys prefer no duplicate imaging.)
-No plain film fluoroscopy in the office, but C-arm access is available.
-Ideal candidate holds both NC and SC licenses.(locations in SC as well)
-No narcotics prescribed in this practice. They do not prescribe Schedule II narcotics. Some dispensing of local anesthetics (e.g., lidocaine) is done.
-99% of cases are non-surgical.
-Must be comfortable working up patients with conditions like whiplash.
-Looking for a general orthopedic surgeon with spine surgery experience (no surgery required).
-Physician will work up patients to potential surgery, but surgery is not part of the job.
-Procedures performed: epidurals, facet injections, cortisone injections – providers are welcome to perform any procedures they are comfortable with.
-There is a sports medicine physician (Stanford-trained) on staff for shoulder cases.
-A foot & ankle specialist is also part of the team.


Practice Setting: Clinic / Private Practice
Support Staff: PAs, NPs, Physiatrist, Pain Anesthesiologist, RN
Coverage Needed: ~4 shifts per month
Patients per Day: approximately 25–30 per day. Could be more. (New patients included)
Patient Population: Primarily adult, minimal pediatrics
Department Description: Outpatient
EMR:
Special Procedures: Joint injections, spine evaluations, basic ortho workups, Fracture care experience helpful
Skills Required:
Board Certification: Orthopedic Surgeon (Spine fellowship required - no exceptions)
Licensure Requirements: (NC preferred)
Credentialing Timeframe: ASAP - minimum credentialing (est 1 week)
