An outpatient orthopedic practice is seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular injuries and disorders. The role focuses on evidence-based, patient-centered care with an emphasis on non-surgical treatment approaches, in-office procedures, and collaborative multidisciplinary care. Physicians will utilize advanced imaging technologies such as fluoroscopy, diagnostic ultrasound, and shockwave therapy to improve patient outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive orthopedic and neuromuscular examinations
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies related to muscle, joint, and nerve conditions
• Utilize diagnostic ultrasound when clinically appropriate
• Develop and implement individualized non-surgical treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and pain management therapies according to clinical guidelines
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on response to therapy
• Perform in-office procedures under fluoroscopic and ultrasound guidance
• Conduct image-guided injections and other interventional treatments as credentialed
• Perform extracorporeal shockwave therapy for appropriate musculoskeletal conditions
• Coordinate care with physical therapy, chiropractic, and rehabilitation services
• Refer patients to subspecialists or surgical services when necessary
• Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment options, rehabilitation, and injury prevention
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation for all patient encounters
Qualifications
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the practicing state
• DEA registration or eligibility for controlled substance prescribing
Working Hours
• Outpatient clinical schedule based on practice needs
Skills
• Proficiency with image-guided orthopedic procedures
• Experience with fluoroscopy and diagnostic ultrasound
• Knowledge of non-operative orthopedic treatment strategies
• Strong patient communication and education skills
• Multidisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
